The Story

The Boy Who Broke the Freeze

Emet is fourteen, orphaned, and starving. Half the population has died from an unnatural Freeze that's gripped the land in bitter cold. When his best friend begins wasting away before his eyes, Emet refuses to let him die, vowing to hunt down whoever caused the Freeze, or die trying.

But his search leads him into dangerous territory. Why did his parents die? Who is trying to kill him? And who is the mysterious Outcast girl who comes to help him know the truth?
